Egg Carton
Egg Carton From Muslim Farms
About the Model
This egg carton is from Muslim Farms, Inc., a network of commercial farms in the 1960s and 70s. By the mid-1970s, this network of farms owned thousands of acres of farmland in Michigan, Georgia, and Alabama. They supplied meat and produce throughout the United States. Their efforts to gain control over their food supply and supply Black communities with healthy foods was a key component of its economic development.
