About the Model

A Life Mask of Abraham Lincoln made by Clark Mills. About two months before his death, Abraham Lincoln asked sculptor Clark Mills to make a life mask of his face. This was the second and last life mask made of Lincoln. There is a huge difference between the two life masks: one is energetic and optimistic, the other is sad and strained.
